In order to motivate renewable energy sources application which in countries like Croatia opens numerous possibilities a programme of one-day seminars was started. In 2009 the seminar covered heat pumps, in 2010 thermal solar systems, in 2011 photovoltaic systems, while 2012 will place emphasis on biomass systems applications.
The usual Seminar topics are:
- theory basics and application possibilities (lecturers: scientists and experts from higher-education institutions and institutes and professional associations)
- legal environment and motivating renewable energy systems application in Croatia (lecturers: representatives of competent state bodies and professional associations)
- practical examples and illustration of already installed systems with analysis of savings achieved and technical and economic application balance (lecturers: designers and equipment manufacturers representatives)
- questions and answers followed by discussion
FORUM ON GAS

The first gas forum was held in 2002 in Stubičke Toplice and attended by 238 participants. In the meantime it has become a place of gathering for the participants of the so called gas chain (gas distributors, gas repair and maintenance agents, installers, chimneysweeps, designers and gas consumers). In 2001 the venue will after a number of years be moved from Varaždinske Toplice to Zagreb.
The usual Forum topics are:
- Croatian gas engineering industry in the light of the Third EU Energy Package and the position of gas distributors
- gas systems and gas installations design and execution, maintenance and control of gas appliances and uptake systems for accident prevention
- work organization and relations between all respective professions in gas chain with the view to operate easier and achieve gas consumer safety
- changes in legislation affecting gas and chimney sweeping profession and its daily activities
- legislation changes setting new requirements for products (gas appliances and uptake systems), their market release and usage (testing and certification)
- schooling, education and qualification programmes for all gas chain participants
- issues concerning chimney sweeping trade

The first Croatian Pressure Equipment Seminar was held in 2004 in Zagreb and has instantly attracted attention of professional circles. The goal of the seminar is to gather professionals from the field of pressure equipment and all others who are directly or indirectly connected to that field of work.
Following topics will be given special attention at the 7th Pressure Equipment
The usual Seminar topics are:
- pipelines (design and preparation of manufacturing documentation), periodical inspections
- boiler rooms and Pressure Equipment Regulations (Official Gazette, 58/2010)
- main project requirements, detailed design of the pressure assembly as basis for manufacturing documentation preparation
- what is seen as main project equipment considering pressure equipment
- reconstruction and repairs of equipment under pressure and project documentation production

The first international scientific symposium “Power and Process Plants” was held in 1994 in Dubrovnik, as the first expert gathering in this 1991 war-stricken city. Nevertheless, the first scientific symposium was met with great response of professional circles and in the course of years the number of participants kept growing. Since 2004 the International Renewable Energy Sources Forum has been a part of the Symposium and takes place on the last Symposium day.
The usual Symposium and Forum topics are:
- energy economy, legislation, topical issues in power sector
- power and process plants, environmental protection
- testing, monitoring, rehabilitation and upgrading plants
- management, operation, maintenance, fuels and lubricants
- energy management, energy efficiency
- importance and role of renewable energy sources
- executed projects and possibilities of using renewable energy sources
